Three youths have been arrested for allegedly elevating anti-India slogans when a ‘Tiranga yatra’ was being taken out in Gokulpura rea in Agra on Independence Day, police mentioned on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police (SP Metropolis) Vikas Kumar informed reporters that the police took cognisance of a video of the incident and registered a case.
“A ‘Tiranga yatra’ was being carried out on August 15 Monday at Gokulpura below the boundaries of Lohamandi Police Station in Agra when some individuals raised anti-India slogans within the rally,” he mentioned.
“A case has been registered below Part 153-B (inflicting disharmony) of the IPC towards Faizan, Sadab and Muhajjam, residents of Gokulpura in Agra metropolis. All three youths have been arrested and authorized motion is being taken towards them,” he mentioned.
Triloki Singh, SHO at Lohamandi Police Station, informed information company PTI, “The youths had been arrested on Tuesday. They’re the residents of Gokulpura locality in Agra metropolis. Their ages are between 19 to 21 years.”
In response to the FIR registered at Lohamandi Police Station, complainant Aman Verma mentioned, “On August 15, at round 1 pm in Gokulpura locality, when a ‘Tiranga yatra’ was being taken out, some raised pro-Pakistan slogans within the rally.”
Mr Verma has additionally submitted a video of the incident as proof and demanded strict motion towards those that had raised anti-national slogans, it mentioned.
